  • Discipleship

Raising our children and educating them could be described as, "a long obedience in the same direction." The longer we homeschool, the more we believe that to be obedient, to stay on the "narrow pathway" that Jesus described, we need the Lord desperately, and we also need each other.

  • Encouragement
    Encouragement

Encourage means, "to inspire with hope, courage, or confidence; hearten."

"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up." I Thessalonians 5:11

Mystery of History Volume 2: The Early Church and the Middle Ages

The Mystery of History Volume 2 continues the story of God's working in history with lessons that cover the early church that arose after the death of Christ (AD 33) through the Middle Ages and the invention of the printing press. This classical curriculum is written from a Christian, young-earth, perspective, and gives students insight into how the Gospel of Jesus is the mystery behind all of history! Written in a conversational style, many lessons are presented in the form of mini-biographies that integrate fascinating stories with the events of the time.

Veritas Press Timeline Cards

We will be memorizing the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation timeline cards that coincide with our study of Mystery of History Volume 2 material. This provides a foundational mental pegboard for your student that will serve as an invaluable resource for them in the years to come. It is not necessary to purchase the CDs. Only one set of timeline cards is needed per family.

Institute for Excellence in Writing: Medieval History-Based Writing

Civilizations, events, and major figures of the Middle Ages come to life as students write using IEW’s stylistic techniques and the nine structural units. These 31 lessons acquaint young learners with Charlemagne, the Vikings, knighthood, geniuses of the Renaissance, and more!

Easy Grammar Level 5 or 6

Students learn grammar faster and easier when they're actually writing and editing texts; this hands-on approach to grammar is just one of the reasons why Easy Grammar is so successful. Utilizing the prepositional approach, students memorize prepositions to then eliminate from sentences, making finding the noun and verb much easier. Concepts are reviewed and introduced throughout the school year; this, accompanied with reviews helps to ensure engaged, mastery learning for all elementary aged children.
