  • Teen Tuesdays

Thoughts, Ponderings, Wisdom, Humor...from our Teens!  Check it out!  You never know what you might see!

  • Discipleship

Raising our children and educating them could be described as, "a long obedience in the same direction." The longer we homeschool, the more we believe that to be obedient, to stay on the "narrow pathway" that Jesus described, we need the Lord desperately, and we also need each other.

  • Fruit of the Spirit

    ~Galatians 5:22~

Let’s learn, grow, and be encouraged while building our faith so that we may be fruitful in the journey set before us.

  • Encouragement

Encourage means, "to inspire with hope, courage, or confidence; hearten."

"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up." I Thessalonians 5:11

Veritas Press Timeline Cards

The Mystery of History, Vol. 1 Curriculum Overview

The Mystery of History, volume I covers world history from Creation to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The text spans the incredible stories of ancient times, ancient lands, and ancient peoples. Volume 1 includes chronologically based stories from all around the world, including Asia, North America, and the Holy Lands. Beginning with the Garden of Eden, stories will spread from Sumer and Babel to Troy, Phoenicia, and Assyria. The study of early civilizations will include King Wu of China and Asoka of India as well as King David, Julius Caesar, and Xerxes of Persia. Above all, a favorite feature of volume I is the weaving of Bible history with world history.

Veritas Press Timeline Cards

We will be memorizing all of the timeline cards in weekly batches of eight. This provides a foundational mental pegboard for your student that will serve as an invaluable resource for them in the years to come. All five sets of Veritas Press HISTORY cards displayed through the link are needed. (OT/Ancient Egypt, NT Ancient Greece, The Middle Ages, Explorers to 1815, and 1815 to Modern) It is not necessary to purchase the CDs. Only one complete set is needed per family.

Fix It! Grammar

Students hunt for and correct errors in daily passages that cumulatively tell a story. Fix It! encourages students to immediately apply new grammar knowledge in context, aiding in the transfer of grammar skills into their own writing. This curriculum includes a vocabulary component as does the writing curriculum.
