Writing & Grammar

Institute for Excellence in Writing: Bible Heroes

From Enoch and Noah to John the Baptist and Paul, students will get to know the heroes of the Bible while working through six of IEW's nine units. A variety of games teach vocabulary, reinforce elements of style, and add to the fun!

Easy Grammar Level 3 or 4

Students learn grammar faster and easier when they're actually writing and editing texts; this hands-on approach to grammar is just one of the reasons why Easy Grammar is so successful. Utilizing the prepositional approach, students memorize prepositions to then eliminate from sentences, making finding the noun and verb much easier. Concepts are reviewed and introduced throughout the school year; this, accompanied with reviews helps to ensure engaged, mastery learning for all elementary aged children.

Apologia Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Flying Creatures

The ruby-throated hummingbird, yellow-rumped warbler, little brown bat, spicebush swallowtail butterfly, Mexican bean beetle, common honeybee---they all have wings, and you'll find them here in this lavishly illustrated elementary science curriculum. Apologia Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Flying Creatures Junior Notebook

Apologia's Zoology 1 Junior Notebooking Journal provides grade-appropriate activities specifically geared towards younger students who aren't as advanced in their writing abilities. Almost the same length as the regular journal, the notebooking pages are designed to suit students struggling with their handwriting and writing skills; dashed writing lines, cut-and-paste, coloring pages, and fewer writing activities make the junior notebooking journal perfect for struggling older students or easily adaptable for younger K-2 grades.

Coloring pages, scripture copywork, "fly higher" ideas, diagrams to label, word bank/fill-in-the-blank, book suggestions, and other fun lapbooking pages are included, as well as full-color minibooks
